
My solution to problem is to use skateboard roller bearings.
Five bearings on each side.
I built a small jig to ensure the bearings all had the same drop down from the original oak rail.
Used a piece of doweling to hold the bearing in place.
Covered the bearing with a piece of plastic so it would not slide off the doweling.
I used a gate lock on the back of each draw so they will not slide open when we are moving down the highway.
