Here is today’s drive on the way back to the big house.
The campground closed on September 15 so we are staying in the Rest Stop area.
Really nice drive today the only wind we had was a small tailwind for a while.
Took my fly rod for a walk in the sunshine today. Last day of the Madison River, we leave for the big house tomorrow.
The second picture was my lunch stop, oh by the way another day without even a strike.

We had a visitor this morning. We are in site 17 and he walked through site 15,

Then the cattle came by for a look see.
A total of 45 came by.
We had some snow on the higher mountains this morning. Sunday afternoon and evening we had some significant winds. Put the slides in around 10:00 a.m. and the wind started about 11:00 a.m. and blew hard all day and into the evening. The wind blew hard enough that I even took down the Starlink dish.
I almost put the slides out before we went to bed. Turns out it was a good thing I didn’t because around 2:00 a.m. we had lightning and heavy rain. One of the weather apps I have on my phone gave a lightning notification of 5 miles north of us at 2:16 a.m. and it rained hard.

Went out for a walk this morning and saw a deer.
Today is the first day I have been out for a walk since we got here. The IPhone sure takes good pictures. This deer was at least an eighth of a mile from me.
We are enjoying the quiet of the river.
We have a pretty cool sunset tonight. The orientation of site 17 has us pointing a little more to the East. The wind coming down the valley does not seem to be flapping the slide toppers as much as when we are in site 15. 15 has more open space away from other people however the not having to put the slides in because of the wind is also really nice.
The weather forecast for this weekend is winds in the 30 to 40 range with gusts to 60. We might just put the slides in and stow the Starlink for a day or two.
