Our second 2017 Spring trip will be to Yellowstone Natl Park and the Madison River fishing where we will be without electricity of 5 weeks. Thus I am adding a 120 watt Go Power Portable solar panel.
This panel folds in half for easy transport.
Hooked the panel up to my boat battery to ensure the panel is working.
This is where I connect the trolling motor to power and is showing 13.5 volts which is enough to charge a battery.
The first thing I did was to make sure the panel was working.
This is the panel controller which hangs under the panel.
This where I’ll hook the solar panel to the coach batteries.
Made a cover for the positive terminal out of an old medicine bottle.
The grey plug is where the extension cable coming from the solar panel connects to the batteries. The coach batteries are under the entrance steps and this location is inside the storage area just to the left of the door.
