Big House Fishing – Monday August 8, 2017

Went fishing this morning.   This sunny dry summer has been nice of outside activities.  Got five nice trout, in the 12+ inch range.  The five fish weighed in at 4 1/2 lbs.
When I was a kid the fish were in the 6 to 8 inch range.
I also have this posted over at harrylange.wordpress.com at this point I don’t know what I am going to do the blog on this site versus the blog over at wordpress.com.

Big House Projects – Wednesday August 2, 2017

Here are the big house motorhome projects I have completed:

Wash coach
Wax coach
Empty Dust Buster vacuum cleaner and clean out motor area
Clean BBQ base, grease build up.
Restring two window blinds
Change battery in LevelPro
Add 12 volt expansion plug to pickup, need more 12 volt plugin in the pickup when using cellphone and laptop in pickup
Design and install bracket for 12 volt power gauge in the pickup, use when towing pickup to ensure battery is staying charged.
Clean carpet, in motorhome and house (long day)
Design and install a bracket in front of the WeBoost roof antenna, so tree limbs don’t knock it off.
Look into adding 2 – 6 volt AGM batteries, will need to purchase 4 new AGM batteries, decided to wait.
Add third fan to catalytic heater.
Fix cabinet door support over the sink.
Captains chairs squeak when turned, fix.
Locate better place for the satellite TV antenna switch.
Fix fishing wading pole, does not lock when extended.
Vacuum all the dust out of the pickup engine compartment.
Install new larger water filtering system.
Fix furnace, installed new PC board and electrode, have sail switch to install before we leave, furnace starts on first or second cycle.
Design and install a bracket to support the broken plastic wheel cover on right rear dual tires.
Change oil.
Lube chassis.
Clean ceiling fan blades and inside of both A/C units.
Get new flexible water hose.

Spring Training – Saturday February 18, 2017

It is time to move into our small house and head toward the sun, warmth and baseball.
We have spent parts of the last couple of days getting ready for our Sunday departure to the Phoenix area for the month of March.   We will be at White Tank Mountain Regional Park from the 23rd through the 28th and move to Goodyear on March 1st.

I have done a few things to the small house since we got to the big house in November.
We will be towing the pickup this year so that entails a few additions: new canopy, towing base plate, braking system along with tail & running light system.  I also put in a new water pump with hopes it will take care of the water system over pressurizing itself. The last thing we did was new tires on the motorhome, we should be good to go for another 50 – 60,000 miles.
We will be back to the big house for Easter, then on to Yellowstone in May with a month of fishing in Montana on the Madison river in June, to the Garcia’s for Jack’s birthday and back to the big house in July.  We have some great travel planned for this year.

Fishing
This is the largest lowland’s lake trout I have ever caught – 17 inches, 1.5 pounds. I have this picture thanks to Jeremy and Steven who came with me on Monday.  I got a BIG fish however fishing was slow.
Here are the two fish I caught Monday June 13, 2016.
Here are the fish from today (Wednesday June 15, 2016).  When the fish are biting it’s easy, I was off the lake at 9:30.  The one on the left is 15 inches and weighed 1 1/4 pounds.
