Big Hole River, MT – Anaconda Sportsman Club – Monday May 27, 2019

Pictures Took 10 minutes to upload these while at Ruby Creek with slow cell service.

This is a nice place they will deliver water to your RV and they have outhouses, no garbage. It is a non profit and you pay by donation. I think we will be here until next Monday or Tuesday so we gave them $100.00. I can fish right here at the park and will not have to drive.

Barrett, MT / Dillon – Wednesday May 22, 2019

Went into town this morning for propane. With the cold weather I am not sure we had enough for the long weekend end. We are parked in more of a parking lot rather than an actual camping site and didn’t want to leave here on a busy weekend.

New camp area.

Did need to move 2 feet to the left from the first time I pulled in so the radio and TV could see the satellites.

Had some thick rain this morning.

Here is the weather report.

Barrett, MT / Dillon – Tuesday May 21, 2019

Got out for some fishing today.

I fished the whole bend out in front of where the GPS points cut across the point. I had the GPS inside my fishing pack so must have missed some transmissions, or it went in the 4 hour mode. I wasn’t moving very fast, tied a lot of flies into the line.

This is the first time I have used my new 10 foot 5 weight.

I got this one monogrammed.

Think I’m really going to like it, the extra foot makes a difference and this is the best rod and reel ORVIS makes.

Dillion, MT Barrett’s Dam – Sunday May 19, 2019

Jean’s birthday today so I baked a cakes.

Had a little rain off and on yesterday and some rain last night. It was 34 degrees this morning and the snow level was 100 feet above the coach.

The area of the river I want to fish is not open yet. Last year we where not here until June 6th. We have lots of propane and can get more in Dillion.

Dillion, MT Barrett’s – Saturday May 18, 2019

As I was checking things out before leaving 5he big house the hot water tank was not shutting off. The water got up to 150 when I finally turned it off.

While we were in Richland I got a new E.C.O & thermostat. I have an adjustable thermostat so I did not replace the thermostat.

Water heater is working now in cold Montana.

Dillion, MT Barrett’s Dam – Friday May 17, 2019

358 miles all in the rain. Had the wipers on intermittent a couple of times but that’s the best it got. Dennis and Ed are returning from Utah and they rented a truck in Boise rather then ride for 10 hours in the rain, money well spent.

Campsite picture

We were here for four days last year looking for fishable waters and that is why we’re here this year. The weather report for Butte says snow above 5500 feet tonight and we are at 5184. Have a full tank of propane and 70 gallons of gas so we are good for a long time.
