Last week I commented about the no snow weather forecast, that hasn’t worked out so well.
The river is up from 1.89 feet to 2.74 feet and dirty. It will clear and fishing well improve.
Happy Birthday Jean if you are counting she is 70 today.

No birthday cake.
Birthday Cake.
Bryn even got her mother to make Grandma a birthday CAKE.
Today’s drive was 396 miles.
We are in site 18 this time.
Our view.
Marley trying really hard to keep his eyes open, he lost the battle.
I have been watching the weather so we don’t get stuck on this side of the continental divide in the snow. The divide is 6400 feet and is really steep.
Last night on the news they were talking about cold and snow moving in Sunday night. We decided to leave Friday morning and this would get us across the divide before Saturday afternoon and into warming tempertures.
The Forest Service campground at this rest stop closed on September 30th.
We were able to get the lane next to the grass (the red line) so we could have the bedroom slide out for the night. All the points are there because I forgot to turn the InReach off.
The flies have moved into the area. We have not had flies until the last couple of days. I think Jean got a dozen today.
Fall is here and everything is starting to turn.
We have a moose run between us and the river this morning.
I was reading on my Ipad and by the time I got it up to take pictures he had run up river a couple of campsites and then took off across the river.
We are in site 1 and the internet is much better than site 2. Actually have a connection for several hours most mornings.
Fishing was good today 12 to the net and 6 more on, all Mountain Whitefish.
Several 18 inches.
Moving day again, drove up to Palisades Campground and got site 1. Then into town for gas, propane, dump, food and laundry. We have been running the generator quite a bit so we needed to get gas.
It was cold this morning, here is the ice I got off the large slide topper this morning.
We have been in Montana since September 1, we didn’t have any internet during the first two weeks and I have been fishing most of my time fishing every day and not spending time writing here.
Today I spent a bunch of time updating the first week of this trip while in Washington on the American River with the Garcia’s and Brian. With the slow internet we have here at Ruby Creek it took me 45 minutes to get the InReach maps from the first day of travel and the drive to Montana.
I was unable to fish today because of the wind, blowing in the 20’s all day.
We have gotten 8 mice while we’ve been here, must be time to move.
