I was setting outside enjoying the warm sunny weather and started to get an itch for fishing.
Then I looked at the weather report for Ennis Montana.
Oops, that 15° and snow doesn’t look as good as the weather here.
My Life and Travels

Today was my final day of fishing. The final fish count was 164 plus the large Brown. Less then 301 I got 2 years ago. I enjoyed the fishing and Jean read a much of books.
I also got a video of my large Brown.
I have been catching a lot of fish in the 10 to 13 inch range. First part of this week I changed to a 3 weight rod and 7X tippet. 3 weight rods are smaller fish and 7X tippet is 2.6 lbs leader.
Today I got a large brown trout, 18 plus inches. With this light rod and tippet it took me an hour and 10 minutes to get this fish to the net.
After 50 minutes I was lucky enough to have another fisher person come by to take some pictures.
Today l went to the fly I used two years ago, black zebra midge in a variety of sizes, got 26 fish to the net.
Fishing has started out slow me. Working through the fly box.
The drive San Juan River and Navajo Dam for two weeks of fly fishing and book reading. We are in the same we were in two years ago, site 5.
Last week I commented about the no snow weather forecast, that hasn’t worked out so well.
The river is up from 1.89 feet to 2.74 feet and dirty. It will clear and fishing well improve.
Today’s drive was 396 miles.
We are in site 18 this time.
Our view.
Marley trying really hard to keep his eyes open, he lost the battle.
The flies have moved into the area. We have not had flies until the last couple of days. I think Jean got a dozen today.
Fall is here and everything is starting to turn.
