Quartzsite, AZ – Sunday November 14, 2021

Things we learned about Marley during this trip.

Does not like German Shepard’s

Not like dark, sound and movement he well bark and growl, you can pet his nose when he growling.

Dark ok when in his crate

Will go to bed on his own if crate door is open 8:30-8:45

Does not like peeing on dirt, likes grass

Does not like to be told where to walk

Does not like me after I have taken him out for his morning pee, but likes everybody else
Does not bite, he will reach out and grab your hand but doesn’t bite it.

Will only let Harry take him out to pee in the morning.Jean puts his harness on he will walk to the door, I can use both hands to hook up his leash and we go out for a morning pee.The rest of the day he will let me pet him with one hand at a time, if I move the other hand or a leg he runs off. If I take him outside he will stand by the steps and not take any steps away from the coach.

He likes fresh water, needs fresh water every day or he will not drink out of his bowl. He will drink out the water bowl until he goes to bed but it has to be a new bowl every morning or he will not drink.

Quartzsite, AZ – Saturday November 13, 2021

This morning in the light we moved to a great spot right on the edge of camping area so we have nobody close to us.

Phoenix and Quartzsite, AZ – Friday November 12, 2021

We went to Phoenix to have dinner with Gail and Gail. Since we were in town we drove out to Queens Creek Olive Orchard to get an olive oil garlic Parmesan salad dressing we like. The orchard has a nice big parking area so we spent the afternoon setting there until we headed back to Mesa to have dinner with the Gails. We had a great time and didn’t leave until the restaurant closed. They did close early, some sort of fire in the kitchen.

The original plan was to spend Friday night at a rest stop 70 miles west of Phoenix. When we got to the rest stop they had a closed sign on one two signs at the rest stop turn off ramp. In the dark and a lot of traffic I miss read what was closed. The closed sign was for the next rest stop. We ended up driving all the way to Quartzsite. Traffic was real heavy on I-10 going both west and east. I had a semi next to me at least a third of the time. The speed limit is 75 most of the time. Our coach really handles the best at anything 65 and below. Above 65 the front end gets light and it was also windy in spots.

Where we stay in Quartzsite is just open BLM desert land.

Kartchner State Park, Benson, AZ – Sunday November 7, 2021

Moving west 173 miles.

We are in site 53. When making reservations I usually go to campsite photos dot com to look at the site. However it is difficult to tell if the site is level. When we backed into this one the front was 10.25 inches low.

We ended up 1.25 inches low with the passenger side bumper 29 inches off the ground, I’ll have to measure this off the Jacks before we leave.
