300 Miles today 6 hours.
We stayed on the south side of I-5, the parking area is flatter than the north side.
Yes the snow is just above the rest stop.
Here are some pictures from the Siskiyou’s. The roads may have been alright in the afternoon.
We drove from Ukiah to Crescent City today, 240 miles and 5 hours.
We have a nice view of the water.

At our lunch stop we had to decide if we are going north via I-5 and the Siskiyou’s or out to the coast around the cold weather and possible snow in the mountains. Driving the coach in the snow is one of the things I try to avoid, thus it is out to the coast and an extra 250 miles and an additional day’s travel.
Today’s drive 506 miles.
We left Quartzsite a day early because a weather front is moving in Monday and Tuesday, 40 mph winds with gusts to 50.
Tehachapi is going to get COLD Monday night. At this point we will be long gone. Once we get off the high desert the weather improves.
Today’s drive
We got a spot by an island so we can have the bed slide out tonight.
Monday we will get to Corning, CA and then through the mountains on Tuesday before the snow. What a trip.
Moving 2.5 miles to Hi Jolly BLM camping area. The winter season is long passed and only a 16 people here, during mid January there will be 100’s here. It is also going to be 98° both today and tomorrow. We will be heading west and north on Monday. I wanted to drive north through Nevada and Idaho but the weather is still cold up there and we could run into snow.
We are starting the trip back to the big house. I want to put some holding tank cleaner in both the grey and black tanks. I put it in Wednesday evening with black tank 1/2 full and grey 1/4 full. We are staying at Quail Run RV Park so I can dump the tanks and than refill and flush them one more time.
We are in site 84.
Here is the attendance and final score. We had two home runs today.
Well, this ends the first chapter of our 2022 travels. Sometime towards the end of the week we will start heading north to the colder weather.
We won with a walk off home run 3-4.
Attendance 4760
We won 2-3.
