Today is Brian’s Birthday, I don’t remember how old he is but he was born in 1982.
WordPress has had an update and I maybe able to write posts offline and than upload them after they are written. The goal is to save some data, we’ll see what happens. (Didn’t work very well, I had 4 pictures and only 2 uploaded), ( I went back and added the missing pictures, see if this works)
We drove 377 miles today and got to the sun.
Here is today’s drive.
There is a north and south rest stop here with easy access to both sides so we ended up on the north side with a almost level spot where we can put out the bedroom slide. It is also 72 degrees here.
This year will be a lot like last year. Mariner’s Spring Training Big House for Easter and opening of lowland trout lakes Montana for part of May and June Richland for last half of June and July Big House for last half of July and half of August Leave big house mid August for family camping and my 70th birthday celebration Two weeks in September will be fishing San Juan River, northern New Mexico October is Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta Zion National Park for end of October.
Today’s travels, 271 miles
It’s the ever popular rest stop night. Tomorrow’s goal is Red Bluff, Ca. At least it is not raining today. We had a lot of rain in January. SeaTac Airport averages 35 inches of rain per year and Enumclaw get 50 inches of rain. Brian lives right next to the airport and they got 14 inches of rain during January. That means we got around 28 inches. Nice to be out of the rain for a while.
We have been at the Garcia’s for the last couple of days while Mom and Dad get away for a couple of days. Mike turned 40 yesterday and Tanya planned a short vacation.
This is Jack’s art work for the day at PreSchool. I asked what it is and he said, “I made it up”.
This will have several firsts: First time to post with my new IPad keyboard the Garcia’s got me for Christmas. First time to post using WordPress off line function. In one of the WordPress updates I read that they were adding the function of write a post offline and the posting later. I have tired several apps and none of them really worked.
I have had several motorhome projects since we got to the big house and his week I updated the front support for my fly rod storage tubes.
This was a quick design that I hoped would work. The challenge is that their is no way to connect the support to the back wall of the storage compartment without drilling a hole. I don’t like adding places for water to get in, so this is what I started with.
Running the piece of plywood across the top of the compartment solved my problem of how to keep the support on the back wall of the compartment. The support is sitting on the PVC fence post I use to store the folding ladder.
I really like this keyboard, I like typing a keyboard that has movement in the keys. The WordPress writing offline is not working so well, pictures are not attaching themselves to the post. Oh, well.
Follow-up, as soon as I turned wifi on this post published including the pictures. This may work, I’ll have to check on a few more things like publish, if the publish date is the date written or date transmitted to the web. I can always go back and change publishing date in WordPress options. This could solve the challenge of spending a day updating the blog after being without internet for extended periods of time. And I REALLY like this keyboard with backspace, delete, arrow keys, shift KEY for caps, it is full keyboard.
Motorhome 5371 miles Pick – up 1403 Gas Prices High $3.84 – Bakersfield, CA – November 9, 2019 Low $2.34 – New Mexico-Texas Boarder – Oct 22 and Oct 29, 2019 Avg $2.88 829.5 gallons (coach only)
State park on the way to big house, could have gone to a rest stop but the park was nice on a sunny day. We got the last none reserved site in the park and this way I could dump the holding tanks.
The rest stop on the north side of the highway was closed. It was only 2 miles to the next exit so we could turn around and spend the night at the south bound rest stop. This side of the highway had a parking spot that was actually flat, a good night.
