Today is moving day. We will run into Ennis: dump, get propane, food and laundry. On the way to town we’ll stop on Ruby Creek CG to get a site before going into town. We got site 15 again. We will more than likely stay here for 2 weeks.
Fished for a while after we got camp set up, got nothing.
Cold again this morning 22 degrees outside and only up to 66 today.
One of the things I added to the coach this year is an extended stay propane gas system. This allows us to use an external propane bottle so we don’t have to drive the coach 28 miles into town when we need propane.
The bulk propane we have gone to in the past is closed to fill bottles and RV’s. They have a sign on the door directing people to the grocery store or one of the gas stations for bottle exchange. We went to the gas station and exchanged bottles for $19.99. The guy at the station did say their is another bulk propane place a little further out of town, we try that one the next time we need propane.
I got my first fish today a small brown from the middle of the river. I was standing on the bank casting out into the river enjoying the lack of wind and go a small brown.
The afternoons are quite warm mid 90’s and the river temp is 65 degrees in the afternoon so I got to wade wet for the last couple of days. Don’t know how long this will last but it is nice for now.
Fishing has been slow: Tuesday – I got nothing Wednesday – just to windy to fly fish Today – I actually got one fish hooked, he got off. The water is a lot lower this time of year and I can actually wade out into the river. The days have been sunny and warm.
