Fort Flagler – Saturday March 3, 2012

This is my second post for today. This is coming from my laptop vs my phone. Hank and I went for a walk today and here are several pictures I took of Hank.
These are pictures I took with my new 150-500mm lens.
Part of the day was nice and sunny. Hank and I both set out in the sun.

Just noticed the post from February 16th has not been published, starting today I’m going to put this date in the header. Also going to start using Google voice more when I’m do the blog versus typing everything. Today is Saturday March 3rd. First picture is hank playing his favorite game.

Hank sits in the front, I go ALL the way to the back and call him. We HAVE to do this very evening. We then play with a ball for 15-30 minutes and he’s down for the evening.

Here are the campsite pictures:
Have a Great weekend.

WEEKEND PICTURES FEB 16, 2012

Hank and I were able to get out Sunday morning and take some pictures.    We watched this hawk until I go cold.  I wanted to get a picture of it just starting to fly.

Five minutes after we started back to the motor home I turned around and it was gone.

BELFAIR – WEEKEND RAP UP

Sunday is a lot nicer than Friday and Saturday.  Our motor home is just right of the center trailer, you can see the front wheel and the brown front lower quarter panel.   It rained hard all Saturday morning the rain began to slow down about 2:00 o’clock.  These two pictures were taken Sunday morning.
Here’s a picture taken from across the park.

In 1991 Tanya, Brian and I spent Spring break week at Belfair.  This was Jean’s first year at Sacred Heart and she had to work during week.  I think we’d plan on Jean coming over on the weekend however it rained HARD all week and the kids and I gave up Thursday or Friday, I don’t really remember but we did come home early.  I do remember the beach campsites were all flooded and we drove into Belfair so the kids could play under the covered school yard for a  while.

Here are some pictures of the campsite we stayed at in 1991.
From the site looking out towards Hood Canal

Don’t worry I’m not going to go back to every park we ever stayed at and get caught up on all the site pictures I didn’t take.

It was a good weekend and tomorrow starts another week for me (Jean has the day off for President’s day).

Zion Winter

One of the blogs I follow is a guy who has spent the last couple of winters as a camp host in Zion National Park.  Here’s his website and blog, click.  http://www.lightcurve.com/.

What I really want to show you are some pictures he took this morning at Zion’s Watchman Campground:
Maybe someday I’ll get a chance to see Zion in the winter.  At this point spring and falls when it’s 85 to 95 degrees during the day is the perfect time for us.    Have a GREAT week.

Belfair State Park, Zion Poster – Saturday February 4, 2012

I just opened the Zion Institute program schedule for 2012.  Tanya & I are on the schedule side, they do have pictures of other not so important people on the other side.
Two years in a row, we’re a hit.

BELFAIR STATE PARK

Weekend in the sun. Site T22 at Belfair State park playing with my new 150-500 mm Sigma lens.  This actual goes with my new Canon 60D.
Software updates can be good.  This wordpress program I use on my phone will now let me to put more than one picture per post.

Here’s a second picture.

2012 = Monday January 02, 2012

It’s 2012 and the world is going to end on December 21st.  I had originally planned to live to age 78, I  forgot about the world ending.  I guess we’ll have to spend our savings before the end of the world.

Anyone want to buy a house, I’ll take advanced payments and we could close on December 22, 2012.

I wrote this over the new years holiday and forgot to post it, the offer is still open.
