Ruby Creek BLM CG – Sunday June 17, 2018

Today ended up being a moving day.  With the rain over the last couple of days and the hard rain last night I decided we had better get out of the campground this morning.
The campground is about 50 feet below the highway and the road has two areas which get muddy and soft when wet.  I drove the pickup up to the road and was going to walk back and get Jean and the coach.  As I started back a BLM Ranger came by and gave me a ride back to our campsite.  He said he would wait to ensure we got the coach up the hill.
I was slippery and getting soft in both of the bad spots in the road however we made it.  Slipped around some and had a bunch of the heavy mud/clay on bottom of the coach.
It rained most of the afternoon, if we had not left Palisades in the morning I am not sure we would have made it up the road and back to the highway.  We ended up having heavy rains during the next week and I am sure we would have been stuck at Palisades for at least a week and a half if not longer.

We moved to Ruby Creek BLM CG 8 miles closer of Ennis.

We are in site 15.

View for the next week.
