Saving your expensive windshield wiper blades with tennis balls. | |
We live in the Pacific Northwest which is known for it's rainy
weather. Even with this reputation our windshield wiper blades go
for long periods of time without being used. After setting against
the window and bent to one side for a long time the blade will want to
stay bent to one side and not flip back and forth like they were
originally design to. |
|
Using a tennis ball between the arm and the coach will take this
presure off the blade and thus they will not take a set in one
direction. |
|
Couple of lessons learned: 1) Put remove the tennis balls on your moving checklist. 2) When you put the ball between the coach and the wiper arm be sure not to pinch the windshield washer tubing. |
